Groups
Our Groups are back
Our small groups at Puzzle Pieces provide an opportunity for children to work on developing their strategies and skills with licensed clinicians while still having fun!
Our groups allow for development in the following areas among others:

- Reading social cues
- Exploring shared experiences
- Increasing impulse controls and confidence
- Strengthening of communication skills
The Group Experience
The Puzzle Pieces group experience feels like camp or an extracurricular activity for our participants. A typical session can include a wide variety of activities from collaborative games, sensory projects or popular recess games, to movement breaks and a social snack time. All activities will be adapted by our licensed clinicians to meet individual needs using a variety of therapeutic modalities including:
Social Thinking™
DIRFloortime®
Creative arts therapies
Sensory strategies
Visual supports
how groups are facilitated
Puzzle Pieces groups are facilitated by experienced clinicians and staffed with a 1:3-1:5 ratio ensuring our participants and families receive the support and attention they need. For children to get the most out of our groups it is important that participants are placed with thoughtful consideration. Each child’s social, developmental, cognitive profile, chronological age, and strengths and interests are considered prior to enrolling a child in a group.
Throughout the year we offer a variety of groups around targeted areas of need, including our Puzzle Solvers Social Skills Groups, Sensory Motor Groups, Zones of Regulation Group, and Early Literacy Groups. We encourage you to view our current offerings and enroll today!
