why do you love working at Puzzle Pieces and doing the work you do
One of my favorite things about working at Puzzle Pieces is working with a multi disciplinary team to meet the needs of each client and family in a wholistic and unique way. I love that our clients and their families feel at home at Puzzle Pieces and truly become a part of our community through working with our team.
explain what you do at Puzzle Pieces
I work with children and their families for a variety of different reasons, from a desire to learn basic coping skills to managing anxiety, to working through complex trauma. Through primarily play interventions I work to empower clients to reach their individual goals and improve functioning in a safe, supportive and fun environment. The family centered approach at Puzzle Pieces also incorporates me working closely and supporting families around understanding their child’s diagnosis, learning positive parenting techniques and processing their own feelings related to their child’s specific needs. Additionally, I am here to be an advocate for each client and frequently collaborate with schools, attend IEP meetings and advocate for appropriate school accommodations.
what do you like doing outside of work
Outside of work I am usually spending time with my rescue dogs or fostering various animals. I also enjoy yoga, hiking, and searching for the best local coffee!
